DVD-Rom/CD-RW Drives not showing up in My computer

Problem: DVD-Rom/CD-RW Drives not showing up in My computer

Solution: Need to Delete Upper and Lower Filters in Registry and Add a registry value

How: Go to Start >Run
Type in Regedit
Navigate to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\currentcontrolset\control\class\{4D36E965 -*** (make sure folder starts with 4D36e965 it should be the only one)
Delete UpperFilters? and LowerFilters? Strings
Add new value or sting by Right clicking any empty area and selecting “new > String Value
Type in Name:> Lowerfilters
Right Click you newly created Lowerfilters String and select “modify”
Under Value Data type: Pxhelp20

Click Ok, and restart your computer

Notes: If Registry Mod doesn’t fix Also try a “Selective Start Up”
Go to Start > Run
Type in msconfig
Under the General Tab check the Selective startup box
Click ok and restart computer.
